For instance, if I hire a Realtor to sell my home, can I request that he or she use certain techniques when advertising my house?

I know there are many magazines and websites where Real Estate companies advertise their listings, as well as infomercial type TV shows and webcasts with video tours of homes they have for sale.

Can I request that they put my home in certain media? I understand they are professionals, and part of their job is to decide the right way to successfully sell a home.

Secondly, if I wanted to put my listing in more places than they originally suggest, is there a way to add the price or a portion of the price of the extra advertising cost into the Realtor's commission? Thanks for your help, Cory.
